It tells one time, forever, and it's always a good one.
I built the case first — lavender and deep blue, an orange bezel, then the face: cream, a scatter of purple dots for hours, two hands set where I liked them. Then eleven beads to carry it, each one painted with an orange-and-teal pattern that I made up as I went and couldn't repeat if I tried.
Stone clay is light in a way people don't expect. You can wear a bead this size all day and forget it's on you — which a real watch of these proportions would never let you do.

I like this one because it does the job a watch does at its best — it sits on your wrist and gives you something to look at while you think — and skips the part where it tells you you're late.
